CUBoards provides a distribution and archive for Board Packets.   It includes automatic notification when packets are posted and an audit trail that tracks who has reviewed them.  The Board Meeting Packets have full text searching capability.  For example, if you wanted to find all discussions related to online security, a search would return documents containing the exact text you want find..

Document Collaboration

CUBoards provides a secure platform for document review and revision. You can read feedback/comments from Board Members and Management and review an audit trail that tracks who has reviewed a document. CUBoards includes automated redlines between document versions, and an integrated metadata scrubber.

Email Alerts and Notifications

CUBoards provides each user with email notifications as well as a "What's New" area to highlight all of the new information that has been changed. Each user can elect to have immediate notifications whenever new information is added or subscribe to a daily digest which provides a summary email at the end of each business day.

Calendar Feature with Outlook Integration

CUBoards lets you view multiple matter calendars in one view, and includes a tickler system to automatically notify those who need to be reminded of the meeting by email.

Secure Threaded Discussions

CUBoards provides secure bulletin boards where users can privately discuss key matters. Communications can be organized by client, by case, or by matter. Private Conferencing works better than e-mail for ongoing discussions, as users always have access to organized, dated threads of information containing previous comments.

Topical/Notes Tool

CUBoards Blog feature provides a forum for real-time analysis of board topics.  For example you can have a running Blog on Board interactions where you discuss a topic such as Review of Board Meetings.

Full Text Searching

CUBoards includes a robust full-text search engine that lets you search all information within system, including documents.

Voting and Polling

CUBoards has a voting and polling feature.  You can have secure on line voting for Board Members that is time stamped and dated.

Board Reviews

The Board Review feature allows boards to conduct an annual review of the Board as a whole as well as individual Board Members.  It is designed to allow for anonymity if that is desired and the results to be directed to a Governance Committee, the entire Board or individual Board Members as desired.

Secure Committee Work Areas

Committees or special work groups can set up secure areas quickly and easily.  In the secure area they can tap all the features previously listed.   For example, the Supervisory Committee can have their own area for discussions, documents etc.  They can specify who has access to the area just as the Board can control who has access to their area.  In addition individual documents can be given limited access (for example, to the auditor or the accounting firm).  Creating a “work area” for special projects, audits, etc.

Site Security

Great care has been used to plan and implement the site.  The latest server, storage, and intrusion countermeasures have been implemented and used.  The bench mark level of security of the site has been set for over 10 years by some of the largest law firms in the world that use it (including Mayer Brown, Bullivant and Thompson Hine).  Currently over 120 law firms, banks and Credit Unions use the system.

The system has been audited for security and intrusion by WhiteHat security company, and undergoes a regular audit using the Watchfire AppScan security analysis program.

Customization to Board Needs

You can choose which features to “enable” as the Board sees fit.    It can be just a repository and distribution point for Board Minutes or you can enable features over time as desired.
